BOXING SASKATCHEWAN PLANNING SESSION
With direction from SaskSport, Boxing Saskatchewan will have a planning session on September 29, 2018 in Regina at the Sask Sport board room, 1860 Lorne St. Session starts at 9:00 am. These planning sessions take place every 3 to 4 years and help our organization to establish objectives, goals and plans. All member clubs are urged to attend the session. MAP GRANTS PROVIDE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO BOXING CLUBS
Each year MAP grant funds are available to all Boxing Saskatchewan member clubs. Very few clubs take advantage of these finances and the number one reason why is because clubs don’t have an official registered through their club. Team Saskatchewan at Nationals
In April, Team Saskatchewan consisting of Thomas Gordon, Quinn Neald, Preston Lachance and Val Valenculiak competed at the Canadian Amateur Boxing Championships. Preston in his first National Championship drew what many considered the toughest opponent in his weight class and lost his first bout against a formidable opponent.
