Boxing Team Departs for Senior National Championships

Saskatchewan's Senior Boxing Team departed this morning for the Canadian Senior National Championships to be held in Trois-Rivieres, Que from January 21-25. Team Members are: 51kg Shyloe Davis 60kg Moses Taban 69kg Rob Umbach 75kg Stuart Twardzik 75kg Paul Bzdel Coaches: Joe Stack, George Goff, and Frank Fiacco Therapist: Lyle Little We wish you all the best!

Congratulations to STUART TWARDZIK of Big River Boxing Club for being named the Sask Sport Inc. October Athlete of the month. Stuart was a member of the Canadian Boxing Team and won gold at the Youth Commonwealth Games in India. Boxing Saskatchewan congratulates Stuart on this achievement.

Boxing Saskatchewan congratulates Stuart Twardzik on winning a gold medal at the 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games in India. Stuart defeated Satinder Satinder of India by a 5-0 score. Stuart, you have made everyone proud- your family, community and province, as well as Boxing Canada and Boxing Saskatchewan. Gold medals are difficult to get at the International level. You proved it can be done.
