Boxing Nova Scotia is
seeking a Full Time Boxing Coach.

 Responsibilities:

The successful applicant must be a registered coach with the
Canadian Coaches Association and be able to:

  • Co-ordinate and conduct
    coaching education, certification and upgrade clinics
  • Compile and distribute
    regular communication to members
  • Identify and encourage
    elite athletes
  • Develop working
    relationships with coaches from other provinces and sports
  • Attend all Provincial
    & International competitions and when requested National/International
    Competitions
  • Develop strategies for
    attracting and retaining new participants in all areas of the
    province
  • Implement a long term
    athlete development program
  • Provide Technical support
    to Boxing Nova Scotia Board of Directors

 

Qualifications:

  • University/college degree
    in sport administration, business administration or related employment
    experience
  • Have a good working
    understanding of Canadian and Nova Scotia Sport System and the Sport of
    Amateur Boxing
  • Excellent communication
    Skills
  • Applicant must be
    Computer Literate

 

Must have transportation and be able to
travel.

Job requires weekend work.
